THE DETAILS: Nieve Elizabeth McMinn was born at Stirling Royal Infirmary on St Patrick's Day, March 17, at 6.53 a.m. weighing 8lb 4oz.

THE PARENTS: Mum Emma McMinn (29) is a biology teacher at Kinross High School, dad Stephen McMinn (31) is a IT systems debug technician. The family live in Carronshore.

THE PREGNANCY: Emma had some morning sickness at the start but said it was a "textbook"pregnancy.

THE BIRTH: Nieve arrived five days after her due date but mum says she was lucky with just an eight–hour labour.

THE BABY: Mum Emma said: "She's just gorgeous. She's also started making noises and recognising us which is great." Nieve is also adored by her big brother Daniel (11).

THE NAME: Nieve was a name the couple thought was pretty and unusual. Both Emma and Stephen have a granny called Elizabeth, which was their choice for a middle name.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Baby Nieve is the first granddaughter for Nancy and John Jack of Carronshore and eighth grandchild for Carolyn and Stephen McMinn of Larbert.

THANKS: The couple would like to thank the Poppy Team and all family and friends for their kind gifts.
