LYLA Gilmour was born on Monday, February 2, at St John's Hospital in Livingston at 3.13 p.m. weighing 7lb 13oz.
THE PARENTS: Mum Laura (28) is a beauty therapist and dad Gavin (27) works for the Bank of Scotland. The family live at Achray Drive, Falkirk.
THE PREGNANCY: Everything went well, although Laura was a bit tired.
THE BIRTH: The birth went well, everything was pretty straight forward.
THE BABY: Laura says Lyla is getting nice and big and is doing okay - she's a well-behaved baby.
THE NAME: Lyla was a name they both liked. Gavin was reading a book which featured a character called Lyla and suggested it to Laura and it eventually grew on her.
THE GRANDPARENTS: Lyla is a first grandchild for Cathy and Robin Gilmour of Falkirk and a fourth granddaughter for Harry Graham of Falkirk and the late Janet Graham.
