Published Date: 12 March 2009
SOPHIE Jayne Wilson was born in Stirling Royal Infirmary at 10.43pm on January 24 weighing 7lb 10oz.
THE PARENTS: Mum Sharon (31) from Tamfourhill is a senior beauty therapist at Inchyra Grange while dad Alisdair (32) from Polmont is a production operator for the Glenmorangie
Company. Sophie has a big sister Caitlin (4) and the family lives in Carronshore.

THE PREGNANCY: The pregnancy was fine, apart from morning sickness at the beginning and heartburn at the end.

THE BIRTH: Sophie arrived only an hour after Sharon got to hospital, so there was no time for pain relief!

THE BABY: Sophie is a happy and smiley baby and is doing well, although she's still up a couple of times a night.

THE NAME: Sophie and Jayne are both names Sharon and Alisdair liked and they say they liked the unusual spelling of their daughter's middle name as it's "a wee bit different".

THE GRANDPARENTS: Sophie is the third grandchild for Alisdair's parents Wilma and Leslie of Polmont, and the second for Sharon's parents John and Catherine.

THANKS: Sophie and Alisdair would like to thank their friends and family for their presents, and everyone at Stirling Royal maternity unit.
