The wedding of Louise Hunter and Alan O’Rourke

THE COUPLE: Louise is 29, from Banknock, and an office manager is Livingston, and Alan (34) is from Grangemouth and is a consultant engineer in Glasgow. The newlyweds live in Grangemouth.

HOW THEY MET: The pair met on a blind date in the Grange Manor in 2007 which was organised by Alan’s uncle.

THE PROPOSAL: Alan proposed to Louise in Prague in December 2010. The couple were in the city celebrating Louise’s birthday and Alan presented her with a ring on the Charles Bridge. Louise was completly surprised but delighted to accept.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on August 25, 2012. The ceremony was held in Doune Castle where 80 guests witnessed the marriage, and 140 family and friends celebrated in the evening at a reception in Glenbervie House. The day went perfectly.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Louise’s younger sister Elaine Hunter was the bridesmaid, and Alan’s friend Neil McMonagle was the best man.

THE DRESS: Louise wore an ivory, satin La Sposa fishtail gown with a long train.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent three weeks visiting Singapore, Dubai and Thailand.
