The wedding of Denisa Chomatova and Philip Cooper

THE COUPLE: Philip is 35, from Brightons, and works in London as a civil servant, and Denisa, who is originally from the Czech Republic, is 26 and is a dentist in London. The couple live in Essex.

HOW THEY MET: The couple met on a date in London’s east end after meeting through mutual friends.

THE PROPOSAL: Phil popped the question in Venice last April.

THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on May 12 in Prague. The couple married in a chateau in the countryside and held an evening reception on the Golf Yacht in Prague. Over 60 guests celebrated with the couple, including a large Falkirk contingent. Phil said a highlight of the night was seeing their guests gathered on the top deck of the yacht and the couple seeing them from a passing speed boat.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Denisa’s sister Romana and her friend Sabina were the bridesmaids, while Phil’s brothers David and Iain were the best men. Phil’s nieces Evie and Daisy Cooper were the flower girls and Denisa’s nephew Alex was a page boy.

THE DRESS: Denisa wore a beautiful white wedding gown with detailed bodice.

HONEYMOON: The newlyweds spent a week in Italy after the wedding.

THANKS: Thanks to Denisa and Phil’s parents and to everyone who joined the couple at their wedding in Prague.
