The wedding of Gillian Young and Liam Tasker

how they met: They were introduced by a friend who knew Gillian and moved to Dundee in 2009 where she started working alongside Liam. She decided they would make an ideal couple and arranged for them to exchange phone numbers. They did and the rest, as they say, is history.

the proposal: On December 27, 2009 the couple were walking in the snow on Law Hill which overlooks Dundee when Liam popped the question. Gillian was totally surprised – but said yes!

the wedding: Both the ceremony and the reception were in The Three Kings in Shieldhill. There were 80 guests with another 15 joining them in the evening and the couple said the whole day was wonderful.

the wedding party: Bridesmaids were Lynn Slater, Gillian’s friend who introduced the pair, and Liam’s sister Danielle Tasker. There were also two best men, Gillian’s brother Andrew Young and Liam’s friend from schooldays, John McCrimmon.

the dress: A Berketex gown with crystal detail on the bodice and full skirt.

the honeymoon: The couple enjoyed a break in sunny Benidorm.
