The birth of Dylan John Manson

THE PARENTS: Mum Lorna (35) is a locally-based childminder, and dad Dougie (36) works at Asda Distribution Centre. Dylan is the couple’s second baby and the family live in Grangemouth.

THE PREGNANCY: Lorna said that the pregnancy was a bit different this time round as she suffered some sickness and was much more tired.

THE BIRTH: Little Dylan was delivered by planned section a week before his due date, Mum and baby were well afterwards.

THE BABY: Dylan is doing great and is “eating for Scotland”. He loves to watch his big sister Chloe (3) and recognises her voice.

THE NAME: Both Lorna and Dougie liked Dylan and mentioned it a few times in the run up to the birth. ‘John’ is dad Dougie’s middle name and grandpa’s first name.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Dylan is doted on by his grandparents Wilma and John Manson of Polmont, and Sandy Steel of Falkirk.
