Bantaskin pupils impress with classic tale
Children at Bantaskin Primary have been performing their excellent ‘Hansel and Gretel’ production.
The classic tale was adapted by Falkirk Council drama teacher Lesley Russell for a special competition.
The show was held at the school recently for parents and families but last month there was a very important person in the audience.
After making a shortlist of just 10, the children’s production was one of only two chosen to be performed at the macrobert last month in front of famous author Julia Donaldson.
Afterwards, Julia spoke highly of the play, and Lesley’s adaptation has attracted interest from the publishing industry.
