Michelle Marshall

Catch up with Falkirk folk in far flung places

WHAT’S YOUR NAME? Michelle Marshall.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM ORIGINALLY? Bonnybridge.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW? Banbridge, Co. Down, Northern Ireland.

WHY ARE YOU THERE? I felt a change of scenery is a good thing, plus I had just qualified as a RGN, moved over here and got a job straight away.

WHAT DO YOU DO? Registered general nurse.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THERE? Two years.

FAMILY? Living with my partner Richard Piper and three boys; Kyle, Christoper and Josh Marshall-Piper.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE NOW? Banbridge is a very friendly and up and coming town with lots of opportunities for kids. I love the country walks.

ANYTHING YOU DON’T LIKE? The transport, it is very unpredictable, whereas back in Falkirk the local transport was fantastic.

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERE AND HERE? No big difference. The weather is the same, only thing different is the accent.

WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST FROM HOME? My family, especially my dad John McClay Marshall, my brothers, and our good friends and neighbours in Bonnybridge. Also miss The Falkirk Wheel and walks along the canal.

ANY MESSAGE FOR FAMILY AND OLD FRIENDS? To my dad, you are truly missed and loved and I can’t wait until the next visit.
