Catch up with Falkirk folk in far flung places

WHERE ARE YOU FROM ORIGINALLY? Dennyloanhead.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW? Wiltshire, South West England.

WHAT DO YOU DO? I work in Group Finance at Nationwide Building Society’s head office in Swindon. My fiancé Alastair works at Deloitte in Reading.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THERE? Since September 2011.

FAMILY? We got engaged on holiday in Crete and are getting married in 2013. We have a Jack Russell named Eddie – he is enough for us to cope with just now!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE NOW? We are a short train journey away from Bath, Bristol, Oxford and London. There are lots of lovely places to eat and drink but also beautiful countryside to visit.

ANYTHING YOU DON’T LIKE? The shops aren’t great but we are close to some big cities so it’s not too bad.

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERE AND HERE? The weather. It rarely rains.

WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST FROM HOME? We miss our family and friends. Three of my friends have young children Evie, Alex and Regan who I miss. I miss my old workmates from Bannatyne’s Health Club and nights out in town.
