A POTENTIALLY life-saving piece of equipment invented by a Falkirk man is being used in health centres and a local business.

Apprentice engineer William Allison, from Maddiston, developed a simple device which helps guide people as they give cardiopulmonary resuscitation – or CPR – to someone suffering cardiac arrest.

Now being marketed by Scottish Health Innovations Ltd (SHIL), CPR Assistants have been sold to Marshall's landscaping firm, in Dollar Industrial Estate, for use within their premises and several NHS health
clinics.
