Larbert baker put into administration

MORE than 350 jobs are at risk following the news that a major local firm has gone into administration.

The future of Larbert-based bakery Mathiesons is in doubt after the private equity firm which bought the business last July called in the auditors.

Yesterday (Wednesday), a spokeswoman for Deloittes said: "No one is being made redundant at the moment".

However, Falkirk Council has ordered in its back-to-work support team to talk to management to see what can be done.
